Lessons
Elementary string students have one forty-minute lesson per week. It is on the same day every week, at the same time. Lesson times are determined by the classroom teacher so students will be in heterogenous instrument groups (mixed instrument groups).
-
We have lesson groups that meet from 8 - 8:30, 8:30 - 9:05, and 9:20 - 10:00. This is determined based on student level and classroom schedule.

Hosmer: Monday or Wednesday

Concerts
Elementary students have three required performances per year. One in December, one in March, and one in June.
The concerts in December and June involve all of the choral and instrumental groups at your child's school. Your child only needs to attend the concert for their school. The December and June concerts begin at 8:35 AM, but students are expected to arrive at 8:00 AM for tuning, warm-up, and set up.
Our March presentation, "Band-A-Rama," showcases the entire school district instrumental program, with band and string students from 3-12 grade participating. All instrumental students perform in this concert.

Concert Attire
All groups maintain a "formal" concert dress for performances. This is a white dress top with black dress pants or skirt, and black dress shoes.
