Concert attendance is mandatory as this is a performance-based class. Not coming to the concert is similar to going to football practice but not going to the games. What's the good in that?
Concert attire for high school is all black. Given that you're getting this information in September and your first performance isn't until December, you should have plenty of time to acquire the correct clothing options.
What to Wear
Tops: All black. No crop tops, sleeves should at least cover the shoulders.
Bottoms: Black slacks, black knee-length skirt/dress, dress leggings (but not yoga or active pants)
Shoes: Black dress shoes, flats, heels, boots - all black.
What Not to Wear
General: Not-black
Tops: Tank tops, thin straps, crop tops, casual/graphic t-shirts.
Bottoms: Jeans (even if they're black), shorts, mini-skirts/dresses, active wear leggings.
Shoes: Work boots, sneakers that are any color other than black (so, like, Chucks with the white sole are out)
Concert attire is about the professionalism we want to bring to the stage. There are certain situations for which casual wear is appropriate, but for our concerts, we want to stay as uniform as possible and present ourselves well.
